Andrew Wells, having come to terms with his newfound life as an OUTCAST IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE (in all caps like that), has taken to observing and recording (and narrating) life in the Main Gauche. So there is a young blonde kid with a video camera, prowling about the halls and (as far as anyone can tell) talking to himself in an overly cheerful

...it too paranoid to think they might have air support? Not many angels who could actually pull that off but they probably have a couple better mention that to him, we'll need to defend against that as well...

"Here's something, gentle viewers. Young Taylor Barnam, working dilligently on some-" He pauses when he catches her thoughts. God, that's distracting, but not so much that he'd want to eat a demon heart to get rid of it. Really.
"You think really loud, so I shouldn't be held responsible for the things I hear," he says, without preamble or explanation. Standard disclaimer- the Andrew version. As far as he knows, he's stumbled onto some covert ops and Tay is secretly some paramilitary soldier.
....Andrew's brain is special.

"As long as you don't go selling the layout of the security system the highest bidder, or blabbing them all over the place, I don't really give a fuck," she comments, not looking up.
...electrified, motion sensors on the roofs, maybe? Have to talk to Jack about that one, is he really FILMING me? Seriously? What the fuck is he doing that for?

"And I might have once did that, because I totally used to do evil and stuff, but I've changed, and now I work for the side of good. A-a valiant hero, his past baptized in blood, reading to thwart the forces of..." He pauses. "Say who are we fighting anyway?"
Yes, Andrew. Say it like you're doing any fighting.

"So you're... making a movie about the Gauche?"

He beams and bounces a little. "It's a documentary about my life as an outcast in a parallel universe. Here lately, I guess it's about the Gauche, because I haven't actually... Left the Gauche." A pause. "Except for that one time I tried to follow Buffy when she was out patrolling and got lost. You know I used to know her? Or at least I know her in the future. It's kinda weird."
Reply
But whatever, she won't argue unless he tries to follow her.
"So... how do you make a documentary about your own life?" she asks.

Oh yeah, she totally believes you used to be badass, Andrew. With all that cuteness.
He stares at his camera and somehow manages to drum his fingers on it while still keeping perfect hold. "I don't know. Maybe it's less about about my own life and more about the concept of the Rift itself, by filming all of this, I can give my audience the impression that they, too, have been lost forever in a parallel world that they don't understand."
He's not really talking to Tay when he says that as he's more or less rambling in narrator-voice and staring wistfully towards the ceiling.
Oh yeah, that's Andrew.

She does smirk, though. "Right. Well, I wouldn't know what that's like. The outcast thing, maybe."
C'mon, Andrew. Such a fascinating subject. And the only angel you're going to get anything out of - Becky doesn't do interviews. Have at.

And random narration. Enjoy the camera in your face and the cute geek narrating at you like you're not there. "Taylor Barnam, a beautiful young angel with a passionate heart and a warrior's soul. What secrets hide behind those lovely brown eyes? Let's find out, gentle viewers."
Yeah, Tay, you're expected to say words now. HAVE FUN.

It's not that she doesn't appreciate the compliment, but...
"It's Tay," she says finally. "Not Taylor. I mean, technically it's Taylor, but no one calls me that." Except Romana. But she's allowed to call me whatever the hell she likes, she's a First.

Or... Something. Hey, just be happy he isn't using her whole name on camera.
"Now, Tay, how about you tell the viewers at home a little about yourself."
The viewers who... Only exist in Andrew's head, apparently. Go with it, Tay. It's his thing.

"Uh... I got my wings two months ago, I'm from Boston... my family is the largest archangel family in the country, one of the largest in the world. I prefer to use a shotgun or a sawed-off, but my .45 tends to be easier to carry around."
Yes, Tay. That's what he wanted to know. About your weapon preference.

Yes, Andrew, like you have any idea what sexy is. You have the sexual maturity of an orange soda.
He scoots closer. "But what about the real Tay Barnam? The vulnerable girl who lurks just behind the surface, waiting to get out?"
Reply
She's all innocence, and she wouldn't actually kick his ass, but it's not a lie. It's just messing around. So no pain - yay!
Not vulnerable. Vulnerabilities are what get good soldiers killed. I don't care to much, I don't cry at night, I don't want to go home. I don't.

"Why don't you want to go home?" He asks it, almost seriously, and not in his fake voice for once. That could be a lie and he's not sure if it is or not. Which is why he's interested.
