Martha has done some shopping, mostly cheap decorations for the party tomorrow, but nevertheless when she enters the cafe, she has a few cloth bags in her hands (Martha bought grocery bags that can be reused to save the Earth from pollution, of course). "Oh, yes. Fancy that." She laughs, softly. "It's not as if I asked you to meet me here or anything."
Martha holds her glass in her hands.
"I already ordered for you. Hope that's okay. Figured it'd be a surprise, at least. I sort of picked randomly."

And this is the kind of surprise that isn't going to explode and kill anyone (in theory), so that's a plus as well. "Are you finished with the, ah... shopping?" Yes, Doctor. Shopping is a terrifying thing to be avoided at all costs. Or at least you'd think so, from the way he says it.

If cafe food starts exploding, there is really something wrong with the world.
She laughs, again, and lifts up one of the bags to show him that she's been there, done that already.
"All finished. I promise. Plenty of decorations and party favors... uhm, that sort of thing. I wasn't sure what to get, but I think this'll do. Anyway, I think a party's something that's difficult to mess up."
And okay, she can't hold off asking any longer. Martha puts her elbow on the table and her chin in her hand as she looks at him.
"Is... everything alright?"
