{{OOC: Elena's Spanish comes half from the internet, and half from my fuzzy memories of a language I spoke fluently over fifteen years ago, and then forgot huge chunks of, so I make no claims to how good it is, myself. Anyway, what you've got there is almost right. Though I don't recall seeing the diminutive (-ito/-ita -- "little one") on querido/querida ("beloved") before, it does make sense if it's more "adorable kid" and not romantic. So if that's what you wanted, you're good. Only problem is the gender. Should be queridita. But we shall ignore that Vincent basically just called Elena a boy and get on with the story, and I'll stop rambling about Spanish grammar when no one cares. Yes. There's a plan. :P }}

Elena's tough. She's hard. She's a woman you Do Not Fuck With, who does not go in for chick flicks, manicures, talking about feelings, and other girly stuff.

She just happens to be pouncing on Vincent and hugging him very, very tightly right now. There may have been a little squeeing in there as well. Just don't tell anyone.

After a minute or so, she pulls away and grins at him. "Don't know about that. If anyone else tries it, I'll let you know after I kick their ass." ...'cause Vincent made the right call there, but if anyone else had tried it... Yeah.

She looks around at the other archangels. She's not that impressed, really, but hey, she's not gonna judge just yet. "So, reinforcements. Does this mean we can maybe do something soon instead of sitting on our asses?"

No, she hasn't been bored at all...

[[OOC: VINCE CAN'T SPEAK SPANISH. AND NEITHER CAN I. Hahaha. I was trying for "litte darling" which is what Vince calls every female character younger than him, because he is a COWBOY. Or something. His southern accent, let him show you it. WE CAN PRETEND THIS MADE SENSE.]]

Vincent does that to everyone. He is a huggable guy for a fucking hardass archangel, but it's part of his charm. He hugs her back tightly and decides not to call her on the squeeing, because he's nicer than that.

He chuckles as she pulls away. It's good to see the old gang again. He's happy to be back, but her words bring out the frowny face, because the idea of anyone else bringing down Romana irks him. He's the captain. The second. The one who takes it on himself to bring Romana down from her frenzy when it needs to be done, and only then. Her standing's been compromised enough and while she doesn't care how these people (the wanderers, the other angels) see her, he does. It's a PR thing. Not that she needs PR or anything of the sort, but... Well, you get it.

"I'd let you if it ever happened, provided I didn't already tear their wings off and cram their feathers down their throats first." And he damn well means that. Even with the kinda smile he gives her.

He looks back over his shoulder at his 'team' and hides a wince. "Yeah, Mitzi had to scrape to the dregs to get this lot. Half of my team is in South America because Brazil imploded all over the place, so all I have are her, Georgia, and Martin, and some strays we picked up along the way. Bitch gettin' back here or I woulda come sooner."

Another grin spreads across his face at the prospect of having something to do. "Oh I damn well hope so. If anything, you lot can whip some of these crazies into fightin' shape."

Elena sees the frown and guesses what it means. "Hell, do that anyway, and then hand 'em over to me. I always wanted a piñata for my birthday when I was little. Never go one. Someone that fuckin' estúpido would be almost as good." There's a slight softening of her tone that, in her too-badass-to-say-it way, is meant to reassure him that no one's that dumb. His job, his deal.

His words about getting the new kids into shape have her smiling again, like she was five and he just offered her candy. "Promise?"

Vincent likes the reassurances. He feels bad enough about what had to happen without thinking some little punkass is going to think of trying to follow suit.

He claps her hard on the shoulder affectionately. "Of course I promise. Half of 'em need it- some need it more than most."

The fact that untrained archangels exist is just disturbing. Who knows what shit those crazy kids could get into... Hell, one of him nearly blew up Tokyo. They are not to be trifled with.
