On closer examination of the current state of affairs in Chicago, Lola has decided this town just isn't for her anymore. She knows the Don, himself, is lurking just on the outskirts and between him and Romana existing (which is enough for most demons), it's not exactly the safest place for a little teme with no real talent to be anymore. She knows she's not a fighter and while she can torture humans with the best of them, a stronger demon could cow her easily and a stronger angel could... Well, she doesn't want to think about that.
The problem, unfortuntely, is that Lola has a bad habit of not wanting to leave a place without a bang, so instead of skipping town in a cab to O'Hare like she should have done, she's sitting in a back alley with a victim. The poor man is on his knees, clutching his head and whimpering while Lola leans against the wall, watching him writhe as she plays in his memories and slowly breaks him down. He had a lot hidden in his head- a lot of pain and anguish that she finds particularly delicious.
Well, never let it be said that she didn't attempt to leave Chicago on a high note.
