With every move he makes, another chance he takes, odds are he won't live to see tomorrow.

To describe the past week as being anything other than a train wreck would be putting it far too nicely and while Marshall Flinkman is very much a "glass half full" kind of guy, even he sort of wants to declare the last week fired until further notice... Or for forever, since really there's no way you can... Not fire a week, since it's in the past and....

....Anyway.

At the moment, Marshall's walking through the hallways with his laptop open on a schematic of some kind, actually doing tech work outside of his room for once. While the vast assortment of gadgets he cobbled together to relieve stress will probably be useful at some point, it's probably for the best if he gets back on track, which is what he's doing now... Getting back on track. Yes.

The one silver lining, he has to admit as he wanders, is that Sydney's here and somehow, despite the fact that he, Vaughn, and (oh God) Sark know things she doesn't, it's almost for the best that she's going to miss out on all the trauma that was shoved down her throat the last two years (for him, anyway- time is very relative here). Sure, it'll be hard making sure someone doesn't let anything slip that she really doesn't need to know (as he proved once before), but it... Could be good for her. Or something.

He pauses in his walking, shaking his head and chuckling a bit to himself. Focus would be a really good thing to have right now. He can check in on Sydney when he's finished with this. Until then.... Back to work.

At least until he gets distracted again.... With Marshall, it's not that hard.

marshall flinkman, will tippin
