Look into this new future's face
There's an odd gathering in the basement rooms of the Main Gauche.
Elashte has apparently retreated belowground for a while, setting up a small lab in one of the unclaimed rooms, though at the moment he's not in it. He's one room down and across the hall, very patiently persuading the Rani to recognize his existence long enough to educate him on some of the finer points of genetic modelling.
The Rani, for her part, has acquired a dog. It's a surprisingly calm thing of indeterminate breed, watching the proceedings with large, expressive eyes. They seem to be expressing more boredom than anything else. On occasion the Rani will look at it, mutter something in Gallifreyan, and type a few more things into her DSACA. She seems, on balance, more interested in the third person in the room.
Tachi is perched on a counter, absolutely still as the Rani takes blood and tissue samples, gaze shifting from her to Elashte without revealing any sort of emotion whatsoever. Not that this is unusual. The Rani and the dog seem totally unfazed by this, but Elashte seems more than a little offput - possibly in part because he knows exactly where he stands in the mind of this particular Angel, and while he's not immediately threatened, he's well aware of how the situation can turn against him.
Possibly not the most welcoming gathering to walk into, but if anyone needs to find any of them....
