God, don't you know that I live with a ton of regret?

There's a very awkward guardian angel standing in front of the door to room 167 at the Motel 6. He's got a plastic bag filled with clothing, flasks (some empty, some not), and packs of cigarettes, and Gene's gun safely tucked away.

And any minute now, he's going to knock on that door and face Becky. Any minute now.

Kind of funny how he can be fearless when facing a First, but when it comes to his now-human daughter, he's seriously considering running away. She's all right, he knows, and that's good enough. Maybe he should just leave the things on the doorstep and get out before he can be any more of a complete failure as a father.

But he's not that much of a coward. And he owes her this much.

So... All right. This is it. He's knocking.
