Taiwan update: super-fast!
Great news -- everyone who posted their name & address in my other post: I mailed off your postcards on Wednesday/Thursday Taipei time! :D Check yer mailboxes!
Shopping in Taipei was a full-contact sport (all-hail the mighty manga/manwha bookstores!), and the wedding on Saturday was beautiful but quite a production; so we went to Taroko Gorge on Sunday (a national park) to do some hiking for a day, then to Hualien this morning to visit a farm and milk cows and feed calves! (I will soon be posting a full update of our trip, with pictures, I just don't have a steady enough connection right now.) This afternoon/evening we took the high-speed train back to Taipei, then on to Taichung.
We're currently in Taichung until Friday, and late Friday we leave back to Taiyan (sp?) and the airport to fly home.
Hope all's well with everyone! (And that you never have to go through the traditional-squatting-toilet adventures I just endured over the past two days!) XD Seriously -- I thought the Taiwanese ladies behind me were going to give me a round of applause when I strode out of that cubicle unscathed this afternoon! Go me!
