third week into year three, and it's been absolutely madness. between the main project, and the two electives i'm taking, and the extra dip-plus elective, and then endless class rep duties. holyshit.
so first, second week in school:
was kinda in a blur, alot of confusion and rushing the my first submission (yes, already) and joint crit. the only thing that made the whole week was getting to see the itp people on friday, when they came back for some workshop thingy. haven't seen some of them since the holidays! had two consecutive days of good food with them(:
this week only technically consisted of 3 school days for me (mayday holiday on tues and no class on thurs), but it felt even longer than any other week.
monday was jointcrit one submission and presentation. we were only given 15 mins to present. when my group actually presented, the 15mins alarm went off, and i hadn't even started to speak (i was the last speaker, and we weren't even 3/4 through the presentation) The lecturers allow me to speak only for a few mins, and then we were forced to just flash the remaining slides. kinda disappointing, cause it's the first time i've ever felt that i've not put in enough effort speaking for a presentation (then again, i barely got to speak, so it's not for the lack of trying.) And it's not that my presentation skills are superb, but i know i would have been able to savage the situation if i was able to speak my part and summarise the points. hmm.
tuesday was a public holiday, first good day of sleep since school started(: lazed the day away(:
wednesday was when madness started again. jointcrit two submission requirements were announced. and its not simple. and then they announced that we're supposed to build a giant 1:250 site model as a whole cohort- by monday. yes, they must think we are miracle workers. less than 3 days to build a huge-ass model? so absurd. so the classes were rushing through thursday and friday. and then on friday, found out it was changed to 1:300 scale instead. so essentially, we had to restart. haiyo.
then dip-plus was also on wednesday- we're doing this project for an actual company, essentially to design and build an elderly-friendly device. to be honest, i actually think this idea will work, as difficult and tedious to it seems to be. though the whole process of user profiling and stuff is exhausting. but i actually really believe that this device might actually be super useful. ohhwells, we'll see how it goes.
and as with all friday's acadp elective class, i doodled my time away. all the while thinking of solutions to settle the whole site model situation. i was a crazy friday, until school officially ended for the week and i got to go have fun.
friday evening/night was the most fun i've had this week.
coffee. helixbridge photos. mbs hotel. postcards. kraze burger dinner. venice boats. rosel's cast iron engraved gates. cheryl's hat wearing wedding plans. starawards part three albulm. coldrock icecream.
epicness(:
