Lucky me, I found my wedding dress! And for $249 at that. It is still sitting at the store, all paid for waiting for my brother to go pick it up on his way home from college. I refuse to pay the few hundred dollars that it is going to cost in duty to take it across the border. That's the downside to buying in the states. It's gorgeous though...and making me anxious for my wedding. My mom is going to do the alterations and is making my veil which will save another few hundred. Our biggest cost is going to be food I think, or Scott's tartan. We're struggling with the wedding planning as we don't know what we're doing or what order we need to do it in. Or even when it has to be done! We found out that we need to register just after Christmas and we don't know what to register for. Next on the list is bridesmaid dresses but I can't even do that until Scott chooses his tartan from the few available for his clan, so he needs to get on that. Then we got to do up the guest list.
Scott and I also have to sit down with N, Mason's biological dad to talk custody and possible adoption. That is so not going to be fun. We've got to get it all sorted out before we get married and figure out whether or not N will still be paying child support. I think he legally has to until Scott adopts Mason but if we have enough money, we'll tell N that child support is optional. Or I'll put the money into a college fund for Mason which he can use later.
So much to do, it is never ending.
And I need to make a friend over here. I don't really leave the house unless its to go to the playground or the store across the street. I'm going a little stir crazy.
