Good feelings all around
Last night was a happy night. Layne drove out to go to the pub with me for a few drinks, this will probably be the last time I see him before he leaves for school again so we had to make it worthwhile. Which for us, always involves drinking and some munchie of some sort. And laughs, lots of laughs. Oh, and either Clone High or Family Guy because we are just cool like that. On our way to the pub we decided to take a short cut down this little hill, it doesn't look so high when you are driving by it but when you actually walk down it, it's a different story! It had this little rock wall that we had to scale and while I was going down it the rock slipped and there I went! Apparently I fall very gracefully, go me! Then it was time for Layne to almost step on a used condom and his little gross dance followed which left us unable to move for a good few minutes as we were laughing way too hard. Going home was a different story. I full on stepped on that condom and felt it squealch underneath my flip flop. The noise combined with the slippery feeling was enough to send us into hysterics all over again. We're still talking about it this morning.
After Layne left I gave the SIS a ring, to see about playing some WoW. We had a little conversation about the jealous people in our respective circles about the fact that we liked each other. Then came the 'are we actually dating' conversation and after a little debate we agreed that we were seeing each other. Not boy/girlfriend yet but dating. We both want/need to take it slow. Then came 3 hours of WoW playing while we were still on the phone to each other. We're too cheap to buy mics and since I can call him for free we just decided to do it this way. That way we both get the most out of our cell phone plans. We honestly have the geekiest conversations but it works well for us.
I'm heading out there this weekend with Mason, I'm super excited to give him his first ferry ride although I am dreading having to pack all of his stuff in his stroller as we are doing a walk on. We're both curious to see how Mason handles his sleeping arrangements as I can't take the playpen but it's going to be a good weekend. Full of firsts for Mason so I'm breaking out the camera!
