[The thing that wakes Allen up is the distant sound of heavy footsteps - and he finds it odd, because usually he's such a light sleeper. He should be more awake - he's certain that it's nighttime, so being this unnaturally tired and worn is strange.

He doesn't recall opening his eyes, but blearily the world comes into focus, and Allen realizes belatedly that he's already walking. He lifts a hand to the side of his head, though his feet continue to move beneath him. How...? He couldn't recall getting there. He couldn't recall leaving, either-- when had he left Lavi's room--? All he could recall was...

His body lurches forward, and he grabs at the wall with his good arm to keep him from falling over. Oh, god. Allen. How could he forget? Allen and his sire and-- and--

Did the rest even matter? He wasn't sure. He chokes back a desperate sound, and realizes he's already in the hall that Sleeper's room was in. And there, where he knew her room was - he could hear a beating heart.

He doubted the time mattered - but Allen stumbles towards the door, and-- no, he couldn't just barge in, if she wasn't in there that would be so rude and if she was... how could he even explain...? ...He knocks instead, rapping his knuckles abruptly against the door. If there's too long a pause without a reply, he'll knock again.]
