So it turns out I got paid yesterday by GES. I thought I was going to get paid next week. So now I have to budget this money in order to pay things off. I managed to catch up to one of my credit cards, the other two's minimum payments are too high cuz of the late fees and over limit balances. I'll have to channel money into these at irregular intervals to make a dent in them.
I also have to pay off the loan I got to pay my rent. Looks like I may have a month off again from GES which I'm not happy about but at least the bar will be there so I can make enough money to pay off house bills and such. September will be tight as usual. I'm hoping that the credit card I just caught up on doesn't fall to the wayside I'd like to be able to keep up with it.
I bought myself a birthday present. A rather expensive one at that. I know I shouldn't have. I need all the money I can get in order to pay things off, but my irresponsible need to spend money needed to be appeased. I always buy myself something for my birthday. But it didn't need to be this expensive and it was definitely something I could have lived without.
So I ended up getting myself an 20 GB iPod and $40 off the regular price at overstock.com.
It'll make my music needs simpler but not my financial ones. The reason for it was that I was getting tired of lugging around my 120 CD wallet plus CD man. It takes up space in my backpack when I go to either job and also adds weight. Which is annoying when riding the bike to the piers. Also, at the bar they have iPod set up to play music throughout the night. Though they have a lot tunes on it, they don't have a lot of my tunes.
Yes, I'm a Leo and I need to have MY music playing when I work.
I've played a few of my CD's while I bartended and customers have made comment on the fact that the music being played is very good. More importantly they've said this to my boss. He walked in on one of my CD's and he liked it but once he was given the compliment about it, he asked me to pick another CD to play before I left. This made me happy. So I "need" the iPod in order to make my music selections available to the bar going public and hopefully improve business.
yea right...lol
There's no valid reason to justify this expense. But its my birthday and that'll have to be reason enough.
Ok off to work I go.
