This was one of those nights that Kurt was weak and in pain that he just wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep it away. But a body just didn't turn off at will, and Blaine still needed to nurse him through all those personal things. "Sorry, dude... I remembered you were coming. I just had to give Kurt a bit of a wash and get some clean pyjamas on him. Dinner was a bit of a disaster and made him sick. A few painkillers later, and he's out like a light. You're a good man, Mike, but I think I've actually got everything under control for the first time in ages. I'm not as off my rocker as I was before. I'm just glad to have him home here with me. He's more comfortable here. Oh, and we got some of his blood results back today. there's a bit of an increase in his white blood count and Andrew said there is some more evidence the tumours are reducing. It's a good day," he said softly while he buttoned a couple of buttons on the cardigan over Kurt's pyjamas to keep him cosy and then tucked him in.
"Do you mind if we just sit in here and talk? I just want to be close if he needs the bathroom or anything. Sometimes he doesn't really get warning and... yeah," he sighed and pressed a kiss to Kurt's forehead before collecting the towel and bowl of now tepid soapy water from the night stand to take through to the en suite to empty. "Seriously though, Mike, you're amazing just offering to come over and help. Even if it's just to chat."
