On the bus today, a heart-stopping moment...

When I was going home from doing a couple of errands for my mum, a lot of students had just got out of college or something and they all got on the bus. When I went down the stairs to get off at my stop, I went into shock~  - _ -" There was a playing card lying face down at the bottom of the stairs.

At the same time as the logical part of my brain saying, "Oh, it's pretty normal to carry playing cards around to use during breaks. I'm sure it fell out of one of the student's pockets," the completely illogical part of my brain was screaming at me, "OH MY GOD it's a joker card I bet, that means the bus is going to blow up, and it's going to happen now - because that's always how it happens in films, isn't it? Someone notices the sign, and then the bad thing happens~ Wait! Stay calm, stay calm~ If there's just a card on the ground, at least it means he isn't here... but you're still going to die! In a big painful explosion!" > .<;;

I was going to turn the card over with my foot to reassure myself. But then the illogical part of my brain told me that if I did that, if I turned it over and confirmed that it was a joker card, then I was almost inviting misfortune even more... = w=;;

Birmingham really doesn't need a better class of criminal. Not at all.

the joker scares me, what?
