Holy God. So we're back from our little "this will be easy" trip to Montreal to drop Buttercup at the airport.
Easy it was so not.
Did you know:
•Vermont has a new no/low salt policy?
•And that northern Vermont just got some kind of unexpected blizzard? (Really. I *did* check weather.com before I left.)
•If you are a single parent crossing a border with your child, you should never, EVER leave home without your custody orders?
Thank God I knew that last one. Back in 1978, my mother and I were stranded in the Houston airport, en route to Mexico, for three days because she forgot hers. It's probably one of the few instances where I did that classic thing parents want us to do: learn from their mistakes.
I really hope I do get around to getting the story up as a Bliss entry, because, damn, that was worth a story.
