done dirt cheap?

So, my good deed of the the day yesterday swiftly became my good deed of the decade (or something)...These two adorably ederly gentlemen held open a door for me as I rushed from the Fine Arts Library to Toscanini's last night, and when I approached the empty ATM, it asked if I would like another transaction. When i hit no, a card popped out, So I shouted "Stop! Sir!" and chased them down the street a ways with the card extended. The one it belonged to commented that he lost it at least once a week. I was feelin so good for me when I got back into the vestible, and pulled out his receipt in order to begin my withdrawal. Out of curiosity, I peeked at his balance and it was more than twicw what I earning in a year!!!! sitting in a checking account. Incredible.

I also realised this morning that the two utterly gorgeous/adorable skirts I bought this past weekend probably won't be able to wear until spring (so cold out!) Also, between my house and office, I saw no less than 8 girls wearing wool pinstripe pants. Including me and the pair I thrifted 3 years ago. So glad I preempted yet another trend, and my style will be fad for the next several months (yet again). I need to move on before I become ubiquitous. Of course, they will catch up again eventually.

I've been buying lots of things (even a pair of 4.5"-high-heeled sandals) in pale and citrus-y greens since early spring, and now my sister's constantly going on about how her friendBeckythatworksinfashion says "green is the new black"--apparently the exact shade of green I'm almost through knitting this winter's scarf in. She says I should work in fashion. ew. I've been feeling a different color lately, but my lips are sealed...I'm sure that sometime in '06 it will be SO played out though!
