It's so nice to have someone get excited like this over the fic. And writing the fleet of the future is such fun, even if it's not a very pretty future.

I'm glad you found time to continue. I'm really intrigued by Petra's history and very curious if she'll be able to fool the Recruiters and if anyone in Galactica will recognize her.

I'm glad I found the time too! And Petra ending up in the fleet without anyone realizing who she is--and that she's only 12--would be quite the trick. But she is a clever kid...

One of the absolute joys of this storyline is how little we actually "see" through Petra's eyes. We're get only a ground-level view of everything, leaving us to wonder not only at Petra's history but what she's simply not seeing at any given moment.

I rather have to wonder if Petra (who I believe has been suggested to be just 12 or so) can really pull off 'being' 16.

I further have to wonder if anyone on 'Galactica' even knows she's alive or not. Its hard to envision Adama or Apollo (IF either of them are still alive) letting her out of their sight under any circumstances.

Guess we'll see what comes in the next installment.

There is another installment. I'm procrastinating working on it to write these replies :p And I really am loving writing in first person. I started mostly as a reaction to the unbearable weight of my own narrative voice in 3rd person writing, but I'm really coming to love the subtleties of it.

I'm liking this a lot. I have a lot of questions, and I'm thinking some of them will be coming to a head if she goes to Galactica...and there is also the more practical question of will she be recognized? Surely she won't be able to keep her parentage or her real age a secret for too long...
In conclusion, write more!

Yep, you've caught the key questions. Some things will come to a head in the next post, and I'm planning on continuing to slowly tease out Petra's secrets
