She's definitely Kara's daughter, that one. But why oh why isn't her daddy looking after her, eh?

I know, I know, things will come. I shall be patient. I am liking this more and more - the civilian fleet universe you describe is both interesting and profoundly disturbing. And I like the weaving of Greek myths and legends in there (pleases my classically-trained brain...)

I've always thought that civilian life in the RTF was a deep well for untapped storytelling. And I get that the writers want to limit themselves to the main military-focused conflicts, but that's what fanfic is for, right? And Greek mythology is so much fun, isn't it? Thanks for reading!

I just read this, and while usually I stay away from major OC fics, this one is very intriguing. At first I thought she didn't know her mother, perhaps Kara had given her up for whatever reason, but now it's clear that she lived with Kara for years on Galactica. So what happened to Kara, who's Petra's father, and why is no one looking after her? Simon's interesting too, and the Kasey thing. I look forward to the next chapter.

I'm glad you gave this a chance. I'm trying to avoid annoying OC cliches. As for what happened to Kara, that's coming soon. Petra's paternity...you'll have to be a little more patient.

It's a damn good story, but Kara dead? It's bugging me don't know why.

I know. I had the exact same reaction when I saw Maelstrom and didn't calm down properly until the end of Crossroads II. Then I had to go back and watch the intervening episodes to truly appreciate them. (I guess that is a coded way of telling you not to worry!)

I'm glad Simon is back.
And even more curious why she doesn't go to Lee if she knows he is her father.
I`m making assumptions again, I know. :-)

Interesting story, keep it up!

Why Petra doesn't find somebody to get her out of this whole mess is a good question and I hope says a lot about who Petra is. As for Lee and fatherhood, sorry not saying!

Glad you're intrigued! And yeah, thinking about what the fleet would look like after a long time is fun. They survived, but what have they become...
