I locked my office door behind me as I walked in and kicked off my heels. What an unexpected afternoon. I thought to myself as I unbuttoned what was left of my silk blouse and tossed it into the waste basket. I flipped on the stero and soft classical music began to fill the office as I opened the door to the small closet in the back of my office.

Headed out for my normal drink at the usual spot. Wasn’t the sort of place I used to go to out here but with having to be under hiding might as well go to some dump. Don’t get me wrong, the drinks were still good and I guess that’s all that mattered.

Heading in a head straight to the bar I look at the bar tender and nod as usual. He knows exactly what I want and begins to prepare it while I finally reach the bar. I was about to sit down when I heard a voice. "Fancy seeing you here cowboy." . I look over at her. Great just what I needed. Which of course she goes on. I just sigh and roll my eyes at her. “If this place is such a dump to you then why don’t you leave.” I snap back at her and take a sit.

"So are you going to tell me what exactly it is that you are doing in town?"“Maybe you want to first tell me what your doing here?” I gave her a stern look. “Oh let me guess you had me followed didn’t you? That would be so typical of you.” I really didn’t need to deal with her riding up my ass right now. I wouldn’t be surprise if she

My brow furrowed. He was kidding right? Like he didn't know what I was doing here. "Why do you think I am sitting around a dive like this? It's definitely not the atmoshpere..." I eyed the questionable mixed nut bowl in front of us. "You run off, which frankly I can deal with...cause I didn't really like you all that much...but the Senior Partners were definitely pissed off. They are ready to send you to some unknown hell dimension should they ever catch you, and here you breeze right back into town."

I downed some more of the alcohol in my glass, then continued on. "We're alike.. well aside from my much better taste in fashion, you wouldn't put yourself at risk like this unless you had a damn good reason. So Lindsey, inquiring minds want to know? What is it you have brewing in that well conditioned little head of yours?"

I loved that look in her face her eyebrows furrowed. Could always tell I got on her nerves. "Never know. Could decide you want a change in atmosphere." I say in a level toned voice.

"Yea, I figured the Senior Partners would be pissed at me. Couldn't put that passed them, but I really don't have to worry about that now do I." I gave her a look that showed I meant business.

Of course she started to cut right to the chase "Well you see I heard about a old friend of ours being handed over the keys to the kingdom which were suppose to be mine." I say in a stern voice as I took a sip from my drink. I didn't like it one bit that Angel just got handed over Wolfram and Hart, what did he even do to deserve it.

"Let's just say I believe it's time for some payback." I say with a slight grin printed across my face.

"What do you mean you don't have to worry about that"? I mimicked him slightly as I said it.

Angel. Of course, I should have seen it sooner. Lindsey was the little golden boy who was supposed to run the company. So when the big guy got put in charge...I should have known the only thing that could make McDonald come out of hiding was his pride. Idiot.

Although I couldn't help but smile a bit with him as he talked about payback. That is what I was trying to do myself, after all.

"Look," I glanced around the dingey bar to make sure no one was listening. "I know it's new territory for us, but what would you say to joining forces on this one? I've already got a few ideas to set in motion..."
