After the quasi-incident with Xander, I was feeling the definite urge to party. It was a costume party. I generally had a difficult time with costumes, seeing how last halloween everyone secretly mocked my costume. I knew they did. But now, I was so prepared to dazzle tonight in my costume. I twirled the boa on my flapper outfit and listened to Amanda. Wow. I couldn't believe her and Vi went after a vampire!

I turned over to the bartender,

"May I have a strawberry daquiri, please?" I said.

He nodded at me and I turned back to Amanda,

"Was it scary?"

The bartender handed me my drink and I took a sip and coughed a little. Tasted a little different than normal... Sorta burned my throat.

"Yeah, it was pretty scary," I answered Molly's question, then laughed.

"Who am I kidding? It was awful! So much harder than I would've thought, and we're so lucky that this is all of the damage that he did to us. He almost bit both of us a couple times."

I looked around for Buffy or Faith so I could start avoiding them.

"I wouldn't recommend trying to go out and kill one, basically."

"Yeah, you really are lucky. I mean you could be dead. That wasn't too smart."

I was a little upset with them and my words started flying out of my mouth the more I drank my daquiri. I couldn't help but think of Annabelle. What if Vi and Amanda had died like Annabelle?

"Hey, can I have another one of these?" I yelled out to the bartender, shouting over the blasting music.

He grunted and proceeded to refill my drink.

"I know," I said. "I hopefully am never going to do something like that for a long time. At least until one of our trainers tells me to. It was horrible. It's one of those things you can't imagine doing until you actually do. But apparently we thought we could imagine..."

I looked over to Vi for help. She hadn't talked very much at all since we fought the vampire.

I leaned on the crutches I had found in the training room first aid section thingy. I just nodded at Amanda. I didn't really want to talk about the accident. It was too scary to even think about it, and now I was limping on crutches.

Also, we weren't in costume.

"Amanda," I whispered in her ear, "I have a great idea..."

I motioned her over to the ladies room.

I followed Vi into the ladies room, really uneasy because of the way that Molly was acting towards us.

"What's your idea?" I asked when we were inside.

I looked around at some of the other girls in there, washing their hands, re-applying makeup. Most people were dressed up in costumes that were kind of...well...slutty.

After ditching Miss snotty-pants I danced out on the floor some more. This party definately had some killer music. I made a mental note to start spending more of my free time up in Lorne's department. I bet he could hook a girl up with some pretty cool stuff. Another song ended when I finally noticed some of the other potentials. Including my roomie. Thank god, someone friendly to talk to. I pushed my cape over my shoulders and ran to see the girls.

"Biscut!" I bumped her hip with my own, giving her a grin. "Was that Amanda and Vi heading towards the bathroom?" I asked. "What are they dressed up as? Accident victims?"

I played with the fake pearls on my flapper costume. All the hanging bits on this costume made my nervous habits worse. Then I felt a nudge on my hip,

"Biscuit!" "Was that Amanda and Vi heading towards the bathroom?" I asked. "What are they dressed up as? Accident victims?"

I turned and smiled at Colleen.

"Not dressed up, they actually were such twits and went out and tried to slay a vampire. Cute costume!"

My mouth dropped open. "You're kidding!" I was in total shock. "Amanda and Vi? Wow. I so didn't see them as the real risk takers. Maybe Rona or Kennedy but not those two!" I checked out Molly's drink and it looked pretty good. "Excuse me?" I said to the waiter behind us, "Can I get the same drink as my friend please?" He oblidged and I took a sip.

Woah. "Hey! These aren't virgin..." I whispered to Molly. "They are actually giving us alcohol." I grinned broadly.

I took a second from all my chattering to check out Molly's costume. "Your costume is way cute too. Apparently mine is "sooo cliche"." I said with a roll of my eyes and another sip of my drink.

I spat my drink out back into the cup,

"What?!" I looked at her big smile and shrugged and took another swig of the drink.

"Thanks, I just found all this at some vintage clothes store. What do you mean yours is cliche? It's very sexy! Did Wesley fall head over heels for you yet?"

I rolled my eyes again. I got sorta bored before you guys all got here and I talked with Buffy's sister Dawn. She was being a total bitch. Whatever though." I grinned and took a sip of my drink.

"Have you seen who he has been talking with?" I nodded over to Wesley who was talking with this tall brunette in a devil's costume. "No way could I compete. I'm all good though. The music is awesome. I've been dancing all night."

I ordered a new drink, feeling pleasently relaxed. "Did you see Faith?" I giggled.

I nodded sympathetically when she talked about Wesley's 'friend'

"No..." I said, looking around for Faith, then when I spotted her, I spat my drink back out again,

"Is... Is that Faith? Naked? Stark naked? What is she supposed to be? What sort of costume is that?"

I covered my mouth to supress my giggles. "She's safe sex!"

"She is realy drunk too! I think I saw her hitting on Mister Giles..." Which was weird in itself seeing as how Mister Giles was dressed as a girl. Who knew he had it in him?

"I think she should go play a prank of some sort on her." My eyes shifted mischieviously. "She is so out of it, she won't know what hit her!"

I snorted,

"Safe sex? I dunno I'd feel a bit cruel pulling a prank on her. She's quite smashed. But, you know, I'm always up for pulling pranks. What do you think we should do?"

I couldn't believe Giles had dressed up as a girl. I assumed he was sort of stuffy and uptight.
