"I was *so* right," Alicia exclaimed while she nod her head and wore a rather smug expression.

I glanced up from 'dancing' with Marilee. Or rather, I held onto her hands while she stomped her feet and called it dancing. "Pardon?" I raised an eyebrow at Alicia, wondering what she was on about now.

"Gay," Alicia nodded satisfied, and pointed at... Angel. In a tuxedo, wearing pink wings on the back. Glittery pink wings. "I knew Angel was a girly name."

And can I just say how glad I am not to be drinking at that moment? The sight of Angel walking around with pink wings fluttering behind him? Definitely a choke-worthy moment. "Alicia, behave," I told her sternly, though I don't think my grin matching hers really helped matters.

And it would seem that this evening would only get stranger. A cold chill when up my spine when I heard a familiar voice. One I shouldn't be hearing. I'd heard it before when I shouldn't be though. But then I didn't have two children under my responsibility.

Slowly I turned around, sucking in my breath. I could've been mistaken of course, but the sight that greeted me told me that I hadn't. "Lilah," I muttered, giving her a confused look. I almost blurted out that she was supposed to be dead, all I could do was stare at her in shock for a long moment though. "I see you didn't bother dressing up." Banter, I could do banter. First Cordelia, now Lilah. Who else is back?

Marilee was clinging onto me and looking at Lilah shyly and afraid, a look I'd come to know in the small girls eyes. Alicia, of course, eyed her suspiciously and curiously. "Who the devil is this?" she wanted to know, giggling at her own joke. A quick look from me had her wipe it off though. "Can you dance?" she asked instead. "Cuz he dances like crap."

I scowled at her and turned back toward Lilah. Who...should be dead. And in Hell. And not here. But then again, when did things go...normal, for me? "You're looking rather well for someone who's supposed to be...Not looking so well?" She was looking her usual stunning self I should say.

I watched the little girls that were with him. Okay, I knew they weren't his. Hello! I had not been gone that long. But he was acting awfully parental. I suddenly wished I hadn't come over here. This was just so akward.

I sucked in a deep breath. It was too late now. Pushing my worries away I smirked at him.

"Cute." I said twirling the red pitfork from hand to hand. "Maybe I just stayed in h..." I stopped, looking at the girls. "Away too long."

The bigger of the girls spoke up. I was a little startled at being asked if I could dance by this tiny girl that I had never met.

"Yes. I can dance." Was this normal child behavior? I decided to just go with it. "You know, I never got to dance with him. So I'll just take your word for it. Maybe you should teach him how..."

I had stooped over to talk to her and now stood back up to my full height as I addressed Wesley. "You mean you are the only person in the building who doesn't know? You're little witch friend. She did something, and it went wrong. Made me .... look well."

Watching that smirk on her face, almost made everything normal again. But it wasn't, it never could be again. I wasn't able to save her and she'd gone to Hell. I knew what she'd been going to say. I never thought I'd see the day that Lilah Morgan would curb her language in front of anyone, children or not. I filled that away for later.

"Huh," Alicia said, adjusting her wig and then her dress. "You're one lucky lady. He sucks, it'll take me like years to teach him anything." She heaved a dramatic sigh and started to move to the music again. Marilee had wrapped herself around my leg and hid a giggle fit while pointing at Angel. Alight, I suppose that was pretty giggle worthy.

"Willow?" I gave her a confused look. Willow, again. What had that girl been up to? "I see," I said, not seeing anything at all. I'd look into that later, talk with Giles about it. He'd probably know more, since he's closer to Willow after all. "Well, its..." Painful? Awkward? Strange? Dangerous? "...Good to see you...well...again."

Marilee tugged on my coat and I was glad to have an excuse not to look at Lilah for a moment. To many painful memories. To many failures. I couldn't save her. Wasn't certain she'd wanted to be saved. But I had wanted to save her, from herself, from the firm. And I'm still unclear on the 'why' part. "What is it, sweetheart?" I smiled down at her.

"Are you and the pwetty lady gwoing to dance?" she asked softly.

"Errr..." Clearing my throat, I looked up at Lilah again and raised an eyebrow. "It's just been established that I can't dance, so I don't think so."

"Oh." She frowned at that, and then pointed at the rather large fork Lilah was holding. "Is she always hungwy?"

Biting my lip, I looked back at Lilah again. I'd managed to keep a remark inside about her hunger for...things that didn't require a huge fork. "Are you?" I asked, my mouth curving up in a smirk.

I was watching Wesley interact with the kids, he was rather charming with them. I blinked. Lilah Morgan does NOT fawn over men who are good with children. I cocked my hip at adopted a casual air and tried not to notice how sweet he was.

"What?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by a question directed at me. "Hung...oh." I nodded to the pitchfork. "Well, there are certain things a girl is always hungry for. Ice cream, candy," I gave Wesley a look. "You know, thing that make you want to lick your fingers..."
