Another lady I work with is basically homeless. She's been living in various apartments and hotels over the past few years, and the sad part about it is that she has three or four children to take care of, with no dad.
One guy working with me was living with his girlfriend in an apartment with his two babies and after she beat him up he moved out and is now living with his sister.
The girl that got hired with me needs the job so she can split the rent on her apartment three ways, with her mom and sister, or else they get kicked out of their home.
A girl that's been working there longer than I have used to work at the senior center and decided to go to fast food because the people you work with at Taco Bell won't die overnight for no reason.
And I just need the job to pay for my trip to Austria. You know how lucky that makes me feel? Actually, it makes me feel kinda spoiled. During the first week I was labeled a snob because I caught on fast and could read the screen and unknowingly was rude about that. After finding that out and fixing it, I've learned the above information and more about various different people. To many people's surprise, I am enjoying my job and the different views of life it has given me. Now I know the way I do not want to end up.
College is a definite priority! Don't mess up your life, because drugs and partying will not make you happy. And I'm not judging people, so don't take me wrong. It's nice for the short term, but in the long run it'll ruin everything if you go too far. Where I got this out of talking about fast food is beyond me. ANYWAYS~ the paycheck is nice :)
