Rick Rose's death has finally hit me. In physics today the prof talked briefly about his death and his lab partner was sobbing right behind me and I started tearing up. After class I came home and just started crying.
I can't believe someone I knew, someone I had shared experiences with, who was young and alive could suddenly just be gone. I mean they were celebrating a homecoming victory for god's sake.
I can't imagine what this must be like for those who were close to him. And his friends who were there and helping knock over that goal post. I know those people too, I can't imagine their pain.
It's just so, so sad. Young people aren't supposed to die.
