So my school had to be evacuated twice last week - on thu and fri - due to a serious flood from the 1st floor boys and girls rooms. Nasty. And they turned the water off, which is really why we had to be bussed to another school. There was also a flood around 2 pm on Tues, but it was so close to the end of the day that we did not get evacuated. We KNEW that on Wed it had not been fixed correctly . Usually at schools, they have so little money, they "band aid" the problem. So Thursday at noon it happened again. Check out this article about it :
http://www.wickedlocal.com/littleton/news/education/x1149887738Of course, the article was written for Thursday's paper, and the next one won't be published until next Thursday, so there is just a 2 line add on at the end saying our school has to be CLOSED all week because of the extensive repairs to fix it. I heard a rumor that a backhoe is coming in to tear up the gymnasium floor. Also, we (teachers ) can't get in the building to pick up papers, report card materials etc, until the board of health clears it. It was GROSS! Well, at least it is hopeful that it will be fixed right this time.
