Pegasus
The original Pegasus was born when Medusa had her head chopped off. There are no other stories of winged creatures in Greek mythology and so it’s theorised that Pegasus is an adaptation of an Eastern legend. The original Pegasus helped slay the original Chimera. As is likely to happen to Greek myths when the RPG industry starts to use them the pegasi have become an entire race of winged horses.
