I assume you must certainly be one of the more recent arrivals to this place, based on your questions.

Quite frequently, something of a most disastrous nature will occur and disrupt what little semblance of everyday life we have here. That is, I'm afraid, the most adequate manner in which I can think to describe them.

They are often events of a violent nature, I ought to add, which explains the blood, I suppose. The last one involved dangerous, mad creatures known as "Heaven Smiles." There is quite a proliferation of monsters here, unfortunately.
