Jun lead Noel down a corridor she hadn't seen before, through a door off of the side of one of the halls that had only been skimmed over by Peter as he walked her to the cafeteria. It was eerily quiet, still and dead, the kind of silence that swallowed even the sound of shoes against concrete. The ghost-like girl could almost swear she heard the sound of her own heartbeat echo off of the walls and she was waiting intently for Jun to twist and glare at her for being too loud.
For better, or worse, he did not turn around to cast that icy gaze on her form. He continued forward, even as the smooth floor obviously sloped down and the air became cooler as the corridor made it's journey under the earth. The walls were white, pristine and sanitary and eternally far apart separated by a pitch floor and ceiling. The feeling was claustraphobic, and the fact that the walls were only broken by the occasional door made Noel unnerved as she fought not to linger any longer than usual.
"Here."
His voice made her jump visibly, those eyes widening as she looked at the simple black door he had stopped in front of. There were no markings, and there didn't even look like there was a knob to open it, just flat black paint. Jun seemed to look at her impatiently, causing Noel to mentally glare as him as she swallowed with a weak and dry throat before stepping forward and reaching for the door. It slid before she touched it, hissing to the side and causing her to jump again as it revealed a brightly lit hall beyond. The girl looked for Jun, for some reason hoping for reassurance only to find that he had already disappeared as he seemed to do so often. Noel looked terrified for a moment, glancing around the hall for any sort of exit before finally walking through the doorway into the light beyond.
"I was wondering when you were going to come in." A feminine voice seemed to purr beyond the length of the wall, rising above the sound of that door sliding back into place. "You'll need to come a little further than that."
The passage was short, going forward about three feet before abruptly turning so that all Noel could see was painted planes. The girl moved forward, turning the curner to come into a large, open room. Unlike the previous neverending black and white that had been the halls, this high-ceiling room had walls of rich navy broken with scattered pieces of framed art. The floor was still cement, but painted to look like white marble covered only by a large rug that took up the center of the room. It was furnished like a house, one corner taken up by a bed and vanity, another with a kitchenette, and the center and back with a living room and dining room set. What drew Noel's attention first, however, was the woman.
She was seated on a loveseat in a corner away from all of the other furniture, tall shelving filled with books towering around her. The woman was reading, or had been at least before Noel came in, as she held a small book in her left hand and still had reading glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. She looked tall, even when seated, with long legs crossed at the ankle under a flowing cream-colored skirt that draped over the edge of the seat toward the floor. A deep red turtleneck wrapped around the upperhalf of her body, covering dark honey-colored skin that almost screamed to be exposed. Her face was elegant, intelligent and graceful as dark blue eyes watched Noel step forward almost sheepishly.
"Ah, so you didn't get lost. You had a guide I take it?" Noel nodded slowly, watching as the woman set aside the book she had been reading and rise slowly from her seat. She was tall, six foot without shoes and willowy. For some reason she also intimidated the shorter girl far more than Jun could any day. Her hair was also long, thick and ash-colored, those locks seemed to try and wrap around her thighs as she glided toward the silenced girl near the entrance to the room. "I'm surprised he came so close to my door. Normally he runs away far sooner than that."
"You knew we were here?"
The woman laughed, and for some reason Noel felt very cold inside. She smiled when she stopped, that warm expression gracing her face as she reached up to slide those glasses off of her face.
"Of course! I'm not in solitary confinement because I can make paper cranes fly away, Noel. By the way, I am Willow. I hope you like it here, because we will be spending much of our time together."
