Here I Go Again (Not On My Own)
As many of you have probably noticed, it has been freaking forever since I posted anything new. For reasons I will never understand, I'm going through a phase where my muse just can't seem to get it up. I've tried to work it out on my own (I seem to be able to write minibang ok, but even that's not a driving need) but it doesn't seem to be working so in lieu of whining about the ephemeral nature of inspiration, I'm going to actually try and do something about it.
A while back (not nearly long enough ago to excuse needing to do it again so soon, but whatever) I did this little meme thing here to try and jog my creative juices. So I'm going to do is again (I told you I wasn't being creative)!
Here's the rules:
- Write the first couple of sentences of/summarise the set-up for a fic. I will then reply to your comment and tell you what happens next. If you want to reply back to me, go for it. If someone else wants to reply to me/you/someone else that is also cool.
- Y'all know the fandoms I write for and talk about, don't throw something at me I know nothing about (I'm looking at you, Teen Wolf-folk).
- I'm also putting a 24 hour time limit on prompting because otherwise I will spend the rest of my life coming back to this. Get your prompt in under the 24 hour mark or I'm just going to pretend it doesn't exist, regardless of how much I love you.
- I make no guarantees about length here, but I am going to try and keep things more concise than I usually manage, hopefully within the 4,300 character limit. Don't get pissed if it's not a completed story, I only promise to say what happens next.
That's it, boys and girls (and those who choose not to define by a gender binary but do not fit neatly into cliche phrases) - let me have it!
