311 Preproduction Review:
Freeze Time - Nothing new .. this is the exact same song that appeared on Soundsystem
Seal the Deal - Never showed up on Soundsystem .. but is really really tight (version released by 311 on the site)
Dancehall - Also basically the same as was released on ETSD2 .. maybe a little more bass highlights
Can't Fade Me - I like the Soundsystem version better ... Nick's vocals are different in this version. Yes, I really like the produced versions better! It reminds me of .. hmm .. reminds me of some old old Unity stuff. Also, there is no SA in this version.... he is sorely missed.
Flowing - Same thing as cd :)
Mindspin - Wow .. intro guitar is WAY different .. pretty much the same though .. you can tell the differences in the guitar during the chorus as well.
Eons - Same .. although I think I like Nicks vocals in this better .. its more like the live feel.
Large in the Margin - Same as the cd
Sever - same as well
Life's Not a Race - Well .. mighty different here. First of all, this is just an instrumental .. but, the guitar work is much different.
Strong All Along - Longer intro ... more of a dub feel to that .. and whoa the lyrics ... crazy! It's pretty much the same format to the song, but, its got these weird ass vocals... cd version is better .. but not by much! This is also an instrumental pretty much.

Livin' and Rockin' - All I gotta say is .. you GOTTA hear this! "Come On Now feel the vibe flow the name is 311 and we rip up .. we rip up the show and.. drums, bass, guitar and two microphones youve made it this far so just flow .. thats right!"
