Joey DeFrancesco had dinner at my place last night! Again!
I'm still freakin' busy with tax class and deadlines but I made time to have Joey, his lovely girlfriend and singer Colleen, Jake (the guitarist), and Rich (their bus driver and fixer of all things Hammond Organ related) over for dinner last night. It was a success and we had fun and these are the sweetest people in the world. They arrived with a gift basket full of wonderful things that they purchased: homemade, dark roasted peanut butter from Hell's Kitchen (as mentioned on Splendid Table on NPR), wonderful chocolates, BBQ sauces, other stuff, and an Italian cookbook which I really needed and Joey and Colleen signed it. We also got one of Colleen's CD's (she's a wonderful singer).
In case you don't know, Joey DeFrancesco is the best living jazz Hammond player in the world today. So there.
