(no subject)
Last day of 2014 eh? Well, what should I do. I want to organize and get rid of stuff. It will help to put away Christmas stuff this weekend. I am also resizing the bookshelves in our bedroom so we can fit more on them. That way we can take some books out of the living room. Eloise and I went to Ikea yesterday and got some of those cloth bins that fit in our cubbies. I will replace the books with those and fill those with toys. Than it will look pretty and not cluttery, that's the plan anyway. Eloise and I did a lot of stuff yesterday. We took Benjamin to Appletree and then spent the day just the two of us. We went to Barnes and Noble because Matt's aunt got us a 25 dollar gift card. We got 2 Sudoku books, next years Christmas cards, a Christmas book with piano on the bottom, Big hero 6 book and a Sandra Boynton book. We spent 50...wah wah wah...then we went to see Into the Woods. After that we ate lunch at Ikea and then shopped a little. We got the bins, picture frames and Eloise got a little notebook for a dollar. I saw a wine rack that sits on the counter and thought about buying it for our beer bottles that are always on the counter, but they were all out of them so I stopped thinking about it. We had the gift card and Eloise ate free at Ikea and we got the 'family' discount. I also got a free coffee at Starbucks on the way out of town. I felt like we did alright. Didn't get too much and its mostly for organizing and future gifts (the picture frames are usually gifts with the kids art work in them or smething.) Anyway, it was a fun day, not a guilty one. Sometimes I feel guilty after shopping or going out to eat, but, I think we did alright. Today we kept Benjamin home. He hurt his ankle at the hotel a few days ago and is still limping. We are going to take him to the doctor just to be sure today. Then we are going to meet my mom for lunch. I am hoping to get some organizing/cleaning done in the afternoon. Then, we will do something with my sister tonight. Not sure what exactly. It will involve food and fun though, I suspect. My dad and family were supposed to be here today. Kate got sick so they cancelled the trip. My dad was still planning on going to NC though. They were going to look at a place for my brother to live. From what I understand my dad was still going there. I hope he did and I hope he loved it and made an appointment for Kate to go see it. They would move there too. It's near Asheville. I hope it works out, accept, its super expensive and my sister and I would probably end up paying for it in the future. I;m not going to worry about that yet....for now I just want him in a safe place and for my dad and Kate to have freedom to do what they want and be part of their grandkids lives. They would have made awesome grandparents, but they are totally not. But, its not too late! I think there is a lot more I want to say, but, I also think I am done for now. Benjamin is staring at me like he's going to do someHappy New Year!
