With an almost ecstatic sigh he closed his eyes and let the water cascade down his body. It was cool and refreshing. He could feel how it washed away the grime of the day, how his tense muscles started to losen up again and the scent of his shower gel relaxed him even more.

He didn't know that he was being watched. Didn't know that those blue eyes he loved so much started to sparkle. But when a soft, warm tongue followed one of the waterdrops that were running down his body, he smiled. With an almost purring sound, Gil pulled the younger man closer and whispered in his ear, „I was so envious of this waterdrop.“

Prompt: #052 „Fire“

Catherine watched them. Who would have ever thought that Nick Stokes, the charming Texas-Boy and Gil Grissom, the introverted scientist would make such a nice couple?

They were like fire and ice.

Gil was the calm one in their relationsship. He was the ice. Cool, collected, quiet.

Nick was the fire. The one with the temper. The one going to the limits to protect the innocent.

With a smile she saw that Gil poured himself and Nick a cup of coffee and that Nick put one spoon of sugar in his and milk in Gil's. They didn't seem to notice how...domestic this scene was.

Ice and Fire. So different and yet the completed each other.

Spoilers: A little for „Stalker“

The earth was hard and unforgiving when he hit it. For a second the breath was knocked out of his lungs. Then the pain settled in. Pain that exploded in his body, blinded him, made him speechless. He couldn't even scream.

When his head hit the earth, stars exploded before his eyes. His last coherent thought was „Boy, I never thought that earth could be so hard,“ then he lost his consciousness.

When he woke up in the ambulance, he didn't open his eyes. He could feel something soft beneath him and was amazed how soft the earth suddenly was.

The end

Prompt: #054 „Air“

„I can't do that.“

Gil's voice was steady and strong. He watched as his lover closed all the buckles, tightened the straps and adjusted everything. „Yes, you can,“ he said finally when he straigthened up again and smiled at his lover.

„No, I don't think so.“

With a 'clack' the last buckle was closed and Gil could feel his lover close behind him. With shaking hands he adjusted his helmet once more.

„Ready?“ Nick's voice was calm. Gil took a deep breath and nodded. With a shout of joy, Nick jumped off the cliff, taking Gil with him. It took a few seconds until Gil finally dared to open his eyes. He saw the earth down below and could feel the wind in his face. And suddenly he understood his lovers obsession with paragliding.

He laughed out loud in joy as they glided silently through the air.

The end

Prompt: #055 „Spirit“

Title: „In the face of love“

He stood on the balcony, gazing down at the million lights of Las Vegas. He felt weird. As if his batteries were empty. There were days when he managed to leave his job at the lab.

Today wasn't such a day.

He shivered when a soft breeze stroked gently over his skin. The breeze was warm but he felt cold inside. It was a night when all the spirits of his unclosed cases seemed to haunt him. Asking him why they couldn't rest in peace. And he couldn't answer them.

A pair of strong arms came around his waist and pulled him back against a warm chest. He felt surrounded by love.

And the spirits fled faced with this love, left him alone again and with a relieved sigh he closed his eyes and let his head fall back on his lover's shoulder.

Tonight the spirits would leave him alone.

Title: "Der Kaffee is fertig"
Author: Beverly aka Bev *too*
Prompt: # 056 "Breakfast"
Fandom/pairing: CSI, Gil Grissom
Wordcount: 115
A/N: The title "Der Kaffee is fertig" is from one of my favourite german songs. It means "The coffee is ready". The text is beautiful and describes a simple morning of two lovers in bed where he wakes her with the words "The coffee is ready."

A kiss woke him up. A soft and gentle kiss on his lips. Gil smiled. He was dreaming a wonderful dream and didn't want to wake up yet. Involuntarily he snuggled closer in his pillows. He drifted slowly to consciousness when he felt a warm body press up against his. With a smile he awoke now completely, and turned around, gazing into the warm, dark eyes of his lover. "Good morning," he murmured hoarsly.

"Good morning, love," Nick replied and gave the older man a gentle peck on the nose. "Breakfast's ready. You coming?"

Gil nodded, yawned heartily and watched his lover leave the bedroom. Sometimes reality was better than every dream could ever be.

With a frown, Gil saw the little piece of paper on his desk. It hadn't been there before...he was sure about that. He opened it and read the words: "Lunch at 'Scarpetti's' 1pm"

A blind date? There was no name on the paper, no clue from whom this strange invitation might have come.

In that moment he looked up and caught Nick gazing at him. Expectantly. He put up the paper with a questioning expression. Nick nodded.

Almost on his own accord, Gil reciprocated the nod and was rewarded with an almost blinding smile. And a single butterfly began to dance in his stomach.

Title: "The Date"
Author: Beverly aka Bev *too*
Prompt: # 058" Dinner"
Fandom/pairing: CSI, Gil Grissom

"...and so it is almost impossible for us both to have a dinner date."

Sara stared at Gil. She tried to find some sense in this myriad of words which had been thrown at her. Once more she had asked Gil out for Dinner and his answer had been partly rushed, partly stuttered. But the quintessence was the same: No!

Again Gil had rejected her. She tried to keep some of her dignity, nodding with a forced smile. "Okay. Next time."

With her head held high, she left his office, passing Nick on his way in. The next words made her stop and grow pale. In the unmistakable texas-slang of Nick Stokes she heard, "Hey, Gil...you still up for our dinner date?"

The end

Title: "Tastes like chicken"
Author: Beverly aka Bev *too*
Prompt: # 059 "Food"
Fandom/pairing: CSI, Gil Grissom
Wordcount: 100

"Food is essential, my dear Nicky."

"Is that so?"

"Yes, it is. Now grab your fork and eat."

"No."

Frown.

"No?"

Smile.

"No. You want me to eat...this...feed me."

Wink.

"I will."

"You won't."

"Oh yes, my love."

"But I...hmmph."

With a satisfied smile, Gil pulled the fork back and watched his lover's face. It was a pleasure to watch. Dark at first, then, while chewing, it changed. Finally he swallowed and said, "Tastes like chicken."

With a weird expression Gil looked down on the plate. No one had ever told him that grasshoppers tasted like chicken.

The end

Title: "Nick Stokes, favorite"
Author: Beverly aka Bev *too*
Prompt: # 060 "Drink"
Fandom/pairing: CSI, Gil Grissom
Wordcount: 100

Gil had tasted many things in his life. He had drunken exotic cocktails, foreign beers, and some things so strong that up until today he was surprised that he hadn't turned blind.

After he'd had sex with his first man, he had tasted him, too. Warm, thick, slightly salty. Unique. Interesting. He also had tasted some women.

But now after almost 50 years he had finally discovered his favorite drink.

With a very content sigh he swallowed the last few drops of Nick's essence and gazed up at his lover who lay panting on his back. Yep, definitely the best.
