and reaction to last night's white collar can aptly be summed up as "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ALSDJALJKSDLFSJFLSKJ!!!!!!11!!!!!1!!ONE!!!!!1!" but in case you don't want the tl;dr version --fair warning a lot of this was typed stream of consciousness as i was watching, so if it doesn't make sense, sorry! :
neal and mozzie BFFs forever. agent landry thinks neal is hot. so does peter. everyone looks awesome in this ep. peter should wear that red sweater every episode, and the grey one neal is wearing in the vacuum room scene, GUH. then (when peter's talking to landry) to quote laulan : Peter, your D/s is showing.
cruz and jones are the peanut gallery and they are HILARIOUS. lines in the ep i loved : "oh please you could sell light switches to the amish." <3___<3;;; "the cuban missile crisis was solved by a phone call." which isn't funny except for the way neal says it-- he's really *really* good at the sales thing, it's pretty impressive, tbh. "the FBI's been watching thunderball" -- LMFAO. "roughly... five... minutes?" OH JONES ILU. also i loved that he had more than three lines throughout the ep, like at the end he was all LET'S GO GET MY MAN CAFFREY OUTTA THE VACUUM and i may have flailed a bit. he's so awesome!!
neal. with. a. gun. okay, seriously, i know it's a trope and a total play to make people go 'wow' but it totally works on me when people have like, hidden/unknown skills that get whipped out at an opportune moment. and this was awesome because it's just more proof that neal is a fucking genius who always knows way more than he lets on. and yeah, okay, i may have a little bit of a gun kink, whatever. i've read the dark tower too many times. :x
i love elizabeth SO MUCH. i love what a grounding presence she is to both neal and peter-- and the fact that she clearly ships the hell out of them is awesome. "peter's the best thing that ever happened to you" and immediately when she was talking to peter about having met with kate, my reaction was "oh if elle knows about it, then it's okay." it's just fantastic, SHE is fantastic, and i will be writing OT3 fic probably in equal quantity to all the neal/peter i have planned.
um, okay. that whole vacuum chamber scene. i knew it was going to come down to someone inside, i didn't really expect it to be both of them, but OH GOD. peter unwilling to risk neal suffocating! NEAL TRUSTS HIM and the look on both their faces when he says it, i DIED. he's all ready to SHOOT SOMEONE because he has to hit the kill switch to save neal-- and then after when neal wakes up THAT WAS A LONG FIVE MINUTES and their faces!!!!!!!!! and then olivia_circe's post reminded me of how much i loved neal goading peter in public / in front of people. it's got to have pissed peter off to no end, but oh maaaaaan did i enjoy it. i'm sure peter will make neal sorry for it later anyway. XD also a commenter on ariel's post said something to the effect of "i wanted buddy breathing, but then i realized they couldn't do it because then the subtext would stop being SUBtext and would just be TEXT." and yeah, basically, that. GUHHHHH.
"you got my back, right?" oh my god, this entire scene. first of all, MAJOR PROPS to laulan because essentially her entire prediction after the mid season finale CAME TRUE. KUDOS TO YOU ANDY. first reactions : kate obviously doesn't have the same problem with guns that neal does. interesting reference to kate and peter meeting the first time he caught neal. "i'm tired of watching you twist his heart around"!!!!! of course kate has a price, and of course it's something that's a huge deal. it's true that she didn't answer peter's question (did you ever love him), but if the answer to that question is yes, why do you NOT say that? like, if you do actually love this guy, how do you not bite off the head of the person that challenges your feelings for him? she's also very careful not to admit it's fowler who's behind things, but it seems pretty obvious. and GODDDDDD peter's frustration and trying to get neal to realize kate's not what she seems-- i can't stand it. TWOO WUV. he also pretty much told kate he's in love with her ex-boyfriend, and elle reminded neal that they're MFEO-- i mean really, people, how explicit can you get?
and this, the end of the episode, is EXACTLY what i have been looking for. "welcome back" indeed, mozzie. i have been wanting to see neal with a project besides kate-- and sure, he's still focused on her part of this, like he's going to go after the music box because of her, but i don't doubt that over the course of things he'll have some epiphanies.
I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED. TUESDAYS ARE NOW OFFICIALLY MY FAVORITE NIGHT OF THE WEEK. :"D :"D :"D :"D
