Thoughts
Okay, Dad suggested that I bring Elizabeth along for the drive to Florida. I’m struggling with this decision, so I decided to list pros and cons and get everyone else’s opinions. Here goes:
Pros
I would have company.
She’s a good kid and we would probably have fun.
She could probably use the vacation.
If we stop in TN, she would get to see her dad.
If we stay in VA longer than one day, she could keep dad company so I can hang out with my friends.
Cons
I would have to pay for her meals and stuff.
It wouldn’t really be fair to Christina who would be left out.
It would be extra unfair if we stopped in TN and Eliz got to see her dad, but Christina didn’t.
I would have to be responsible for her, not that she needs much (she’s 14 and pretty independent) but if anything were to come up…
If she gets on my nerves, I can’t get away from her. This sounds bad, but I’ve been really easily annoyed lately. I think I’m just overstressed.
I think I’m leaning towards not taking her. The money issue and the unfairness/jealousy issue with her sister seem to be big enough cons to outweigh all the pros. Driving back by myself might not be all that bad. Who knows, someone may pop up that can drive with me.
