It's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday and how do I celebrate? I eat brunch in his memory.
Okay, it's more like, I woke up extremely late and I was hungry. I have to eat breakfast food of sorts before I eat anything else. I am a piece of work...you can ask Lynn.
It's lovely though, being that I have a day off (Happy Birthday M.L.K.!!!)and I am alone, but not utterly. My personality is a bit , (how do you say this without explaining it wrong?)...split between introvert and extrovert. See, I love being around people who are genuinely intelligent, humorous, caring, and fun. Yet, at the same time, I can be the most content with being alone and not feeling lonely. So, this late afternoon, I was alone without being alone.
My television stopped working, which is a good thing. I didn't have the blasphemous background noise that always takes my attention away from whatever I'm doing...sadly, to the idiocracy of today's B.S. that they shove down our throats...okay, so I should've changed channels, excuse me! But, I love to scream at the telly, for some reason it helps to diminish all my lovely anger into something not purposefully hurting anything or anyone; good thing.
I was having a moment of background noise being that of my young neighbor practicing on his saxophone...and that of my running refrigerator. See, I wasn't alone. I was enjoying the moment, as I'm sure he was too. An equality to peace.
In this lovely day of a celebration of a once very wonderful man whom wanted peace and equality beyond all to what America was supposed to be...My neighbor and I were, without fully aware in knowing it, were sharing a moment of peace and equality.
