Prospect 1
Max, Nico and I went to see some of the Prospect 1 exhibits over the past weekend. Thanks so much to Diana and Brad for showing us the ropes. Contemporary art and art installations are here from over 80 different artists from all over the world showing in over 2 dozen venues. It is massive and will fill up quite a few more days to see even close to all of it. There are exhibits all around the city from the traditional art corridors to museums usually reserved for more classic and historical fare, to wide open spaces of the demolished sections in the lower 9th ward. The will be up through January and this will happen every two years from here on out. So, out-of-towners, need another reason to come visit? I've taken a few pics of some of the installaions that I've seen so far and I'm sure there will be more to come.
