kirby kitten
little kirby has her eyes closed and her fur seems to change pattern as her gentle breath moves her abdomen. she's our new kitten, 6 months old, from the cat haven. oopes, she knows i'm writing about her, her left eye just opened and her left ear moved at the same time. oh now she's stretching and really starting to sleep. hehehe kirby girl! cute!
she's settling in very very well and is the apple of daddy's eye.
he's gone to brooks' house this evening for some dude times. i've been working lots of overtime, with more to follow over the weekend. we had $2000 worth of bills come over two weeks: rates, water rates, my car rego, and a speeding fine. oops.
god, i always delete more than i don't.
i'm not sure if work has drained my creativity, or given me a greater sense of self censorship. hhmmm
today i went to yum cha with karen, phil and mike. it was great. i don't know what to make of mike though. sometimes he seems to like me so much he almost loves me. the rest of the time he seems frustrated with me and can be very condescending. he keeps making cracks about how high maintenance i am.
we're just friends?! am i high maintenance? the fact is, some of my friends i have perfectly harmonious relationships with, all the time, and others friends it seems like.. arguments just blow up, ignite without warning out of nothing! i'm bemused.
on the whole, its much easier being friends with girls, and gay guys. but i find friendships with straight guys rewarding, because the differences mean i can learn from them.
anyway, back to the real world. kirby wants a cuddle.
