Ok, so I've been thinking about this being more social thing. Specifically, interesting/creative ways to be more social. Tonight I came up with the basics of what I think could turn out to be fun.
Basically, a mixed CD party. Each attendee would bring a mixed CD of their creation, each CD would be played (and in turn will hopefully stimulate good conversation), and at the end of the event the CDs would redistributed among the attendees.
For the price & effort of a mixed CD you'd get an evening/afternoon of music (hopefully some exposure to music you haven't heard), a mixed CD made by someone else, conversation, and good company.
Sounds like fun to me. Anyone else think it's a good idea? Anyone interested in participating?
Of course there's little details to be worked out, mainly figuring out a good time limit for the CDs and a good number of participants (so this wouldn't require a full 24 hours), and of course making sure alonelyplace is OK with this.
