Yesterday, I conquered one of my social phobias: going to the movie theater alone.
Much like eating at a restaurant alone, seeing a movie alone felt almost the same as sitting at home doing nothing on a Saturday night. However, the weather was in the triple digits, and to make it more interesting, the power went out at my house, so I had to take decisive action. I wanted to see "Clerks II" and no one was around. I got in my car, drove to the theater, walked up to the ticket counter and almost turned around because I felt nervous. Never in my life have I gone to the theaters alone, but I did it, and felt ok about it afterward.
"Clerks II" had it's moments, but that's about it.
