i drove 2,312 miles during the past week. that's like from here to california.....except i didn't really leave my neighborhood of states.
i slept in
1. wooster (one night)
2. louisville (one night)
3. the smokies (one night)
4. louisville (two nights)
5. wooster (two nights)
6. new jersey (one night)
7. brooklyn (two nights)
8. wooster (the next many nights)
what amazed me most was going from one extreme (mountaintop wilderness, without evidence of other human beings for a good 4+ hours) to the other (the jam-packed filthy mass of new york city, where it is impossible to be alone). from complete calm to frenetic discomfort.
