Zelman Clock has a slightly wild sense of charisma, but his real self is someone with no morality and is a complete sociopath. Even so, despite his hatred and strong emotions, he is someone who values, above all, freedom and lives only according to his existence as a vampire. That is the one truth about him.

Fire has traditionally been a vampire's greatest enemy. However, having inherited the special blood of War God Asura, Zelman is able to control and manipulate fire to become a top-class vampire with top-class level of destructive power. He is a vampire with 800 years worth of this blood and has been able to use it ever since he joined Asura's bloodline.
Before in his confrontation with Jirou, despite his sense of anticipation (of the confrontation), Zelman was able to hide it and keep it under control. And even Cain was defeated under him.
Nevertheless, the one enemy that Zelman cannot defeat is Sei, the king of the East. Still, even with that, when the time comes, if he (Zelman) has to fight, he will.
Sometimes cruel and cold -- other times kind -- that is Zelman! Zelman has spent most of his life alone, but when he realized that this will no longer work for him, something had to be changed. Best example of this is the ramen eating scene with him and Kotarou go out for lunch at the ramen shop. Even if he can't/does not like/enjoy the company, at one hand, Zelman can get information from his companion, but at the same time, Zelman doesn't have to be alone, either.

Zelman comes from the "God of War Asura" bloodline, and is a powerful vampire. He appears as a beautiful young man with red eyes and hair. Among the special zones, his power is second only to Sei, and his power was able to completely destroy Cain and Cassandra. He controls fire -- which is traditionally a vampire's biggest weakness, and he uses "Eye Ignite" and "Raen" (like, loosely translated as spiraling flames) for his attacks.
He belongs with the group/special zone which he runs, and is a leader of the not-officially-sanctioned group called Kabun. Because he had to prove his bloodline, and had to go through a fight, he was the only one that was left. As such, he is someone who lives strongly by his own ideals and through fighting/wars. When he first met Kotarou, they got along (or er, hit it off).
He taught Kotarou that a vampire's fate centers around blood and blood only. To Kotarou, he is the "other brother." In terms of fashion, he uses all brand names. Personally, he is also more of a street-fashion type of guy. Besides the clothes he buys for himself, since all of his clothes were confiscated by Sayuka, Zelman is not able to pick out his own clothes anymore.
During the war, despite the fact that his powers were overwhelming, he was hit by Rau's sword when he was trying to protect Kotarou, and it was a fatal wound. Afterwards, Sayuka inherited Zelman's bloodline.
