[Uxie was a patient creature. He had taken a five-week course in Mu training honed his mind to tune out pain, to spam Endure hold fast until his body's natural processes made the aches and agonies recede. He was grateful to Dana for her intervention; there was absolutely nowhere else he would have rather been than safely tucked away from the world

He hadn't been this worked up since that whole Thief fiasco of... gosh, was it really almost two years ago??... and he was making sure that no stone went unturned. He was going to find the person or persons responsible for stringing up his friends and he was either going to bash them into gravy or drag them to the headmaster by the hair.
His footsteps were surprisingly light for someone who wore ridiculously heavy shoes. Walking quietly down the corridor, his nose twitched. There was pain in the air. Blood scent - not exactly fresh, but close enough. He immediately became even more alert. Hopefully he could track down the source of it. His nose was sensitive, but he wasn't a bloodhound by any stretch of the imagination.
He wandered past the soda machine, eyes scanning the hallway ahead.

Yes, he would do nicely. How fortunate for Knuckles that one of the victims of that stringing incident happened to be right under his nose.
Uxie huddled down again, hoping that a cry would attract his attention.

His eyes scanned over the hallway behind him - and there it was. No wonder he'd missed it, the poor little thing was curled into a ball and wasn't big enough to notice unless you knew where to look.
He closed the small gap between them fast, dropping to his knees. He recognized it now - it was Uxie.
"Professor! What are you doing out here!?" He said, alarmed. "You're injured - you oughta be resting!"

The creases in his forhead deepened and his teeth ground together. He'd never really appreciated just how small Uxie was. He was a teacher and apparently another Pokemon deity. Somehow? He'd always seemed... bigger.
"If you want to go to the infirmary, let me carry you?" he offered. "We can talk on the way. I'm working with the school's security to find out who did this to you and the others."

"I... cannot answer everything," Uxie mumbled. A difficult thing for the being of knowledge to admit.

"It's alright if you can't tell me much." Knuckles replied to his comment, keeping his steps slow and even to avoid any kind of jarring to the small form against his chest. "Just tell me what you do know. The last thing you remember before you woke up after it all went down. Anyone you don't know approach you? Did you eat anything out of the ordinary?"

"Did the voice sound upset? Angry, maybe? You say you don't recall the words, but... was the sound of the voice familiar to you at all?"
He spun on his heel to back out of the double doors so as to disturb his passenger less.
"And where were you? What's the last place you remember being?"
It was possible that some clues were left behind. It would be a good place to start.

"It's all terribly unclear... I don't believe I recognized the voice, but..." He trailed off uncertainly, then shook his head. No, he didn't feel like answering that one. There was no fun in making it too easy.
"I... ah, I'm not sure. I think... it may have happened in my office. I was marking papers when someone turned the lights off. I... I used Swift without thinking. Perhaps I may have hit my assailant, but... I couldn't say for certain."

If they had been hit by a Swift, it was possible they dropped some blood or fibers or.. something. Lash was good at using that sort of thing to get information. She was the one who had had him collect samples from Marx, after all.
The infirmary was fast approaching and Knuckles bundled Uxie a little closer against the chill of the air. "Nearly there."

Even so... it was an awfully nice thing to be held, wasn't it? He simply nestled down in Knuckles' fur and said no more.

He ducked into the door of the infirmary, feeling the warmth prickle at his cheeks compared to the cold outside. "Here we are! Anywhere in particular you wanted to go?"

Would do.
No. Apparently it wasn't, and the fact that he was about to say so suddenly seemed so absurd that he actually blushed in embarrassment. If it was what anyone would have done? Yeah. They wouldn't be here right now.
"....it's nothing. If you need me for anything, just let me know."
He found a counter top near one of the supply cupboards and set Uxie down as gently as he was able.
