Dear Yuletide Author
Hi Yuletide Author! I hope you are having an excellent start to your holiday season, that your shopping/travel/work/life will prove stress-free as we get closer to the holidays, and that something in here strikes your fancy. I'm seriously easy to please, so if there's something in here and then suddenly you write an entire piece about a zombie apocalypse, please know: THAT IS RAD, FEEL FREE. But here are some vague thoughts I have, just spit-balling. Do whatever works best for you in terms of rating/gen/whatever, foul language not only does not bother me but is AWESOME, and, um, if you want to write total Christmas fluff, DO IT BECAUSE I WILL END UP READING IT EVERY CHRISTMAS.
Fresh Meat: Oh man, this show. I really liked it, and then the S2 premiere hit and I spiraled hard. JP's my favorite, so really anything keeping him front and central is fantastic. Gen, whatever. I really like his fits and bursts of growing up, and seeing what kind of guy he is underneath. I especially love his friendships with the ladies, particularly Oregon and Vod. And his crisis at the start of S2 with Giles - it doesn't have to be concerning Giles at all, since he's not a listed character, but maybe JP starts to figure out some things on that end, with reluctant help from Oregon and Vod? IDK! Seriously, anything with those three or some combination thereof will totally make me happy.
Cougar Town: Jules and Ellie man. JULES AND ELLIE. I don't actually want them to ditch their husbands and run away together, except... I totally do. Anything involving them at any stage of the relationship is a go, but I do ship them in a fierce way because they're dumb, dumb idiots. I know it can be awkward to get them together, so don't force it if you don't want to! This would probably be a great prompt just to write about some weird best friend Christmas tradition they have that Ellie doesn't want to admit to - or Ellie's great warfare on the removal of Christmas decorations on the cul-de-sac. I'd say the only requirement I have for this fic is wine, and lots of it.
Parks & Rec: HAHA, ok, so. This show makes me happy on so many levels, but here's the thing. I'm not super duper into Ben & Leslie. I mean, I like it, I'm so happy Leslie is happy, but Ann and Leslie, guys. (This seems to be a theme with me. See above.) Also, WOW, that DC arc and the way Ben and April made dumb faces at each other a lot. I'm just saying, this solves a lot of problems for me! But really any sort of character piece with the ladies would seriously be fantastic too - I love Leslie, Ann, and April, and the ways they interact. Leslie and April is seriously one of my favorite relationships on the show (and I'm praying when Ben & Leslie's wedding airs, Leslie gets a slight panic attack and April is the one to calm her down and be all YOU GOT THIS and then I'm basically going to have far too many feelings to handle).
Dublin Murder Squad: Ooh, boy, this series. My request is for Rob & Cassie, or either one of them solo (although to be fair I think they're so wrapped up in each other's everything they're a package deal). I mean, I'm pretty sure we're never going to see Rob again, so if you want to play in THAT wide-open sandbox, go for it. Does Cassie ever get back to Murder? Do they secretly keep tabs on each other as they rise and shift through the ranks? Dude, I don't even know - this whole thing is so up in the air. This series is by far my favorite contemporary mystery series because of the biased narrator thing going, so 1st person here is totally A-OK.
