PERSONALITY:

Riku Replica is, to a fault, stubborn. He’s also fiercely protective of those who he more or less determines his friends/allies (as was the case with Namine; he wished to protect her, however he could, and that was his motivation for many things he did). While he lacks Riku’s regret and guilt issues, he constantly has to deal with the fact that he’s not the real Riku, and he was just created to be a pawn. That doesn’t sit well with him in the slightest, so he makes every attempt that he can to push against the boundaries that he’s got around him.

At one point, he was called Nisemono (thus implying that he was “nothing”). Knowing that he couldn’t go around calling himself Riku unless/until the “real” one was gone, he decided that he would call himself Nise- more or less a kind of jab back at those who had called him “nothing”, thus proving just how stubborn he is. He also tends to be condescending to those he deems not worth his time, either ignoring or snapping back responses, most of the time biting and sarcastic.

As far as likes and dislikes go, he’s...rather odd. For the most part, in Vexen’s lab, all he ate was food that was previously approved by the scientist-- food that was more or less just the nutrients he needed in solid form. As this was less than a gourmet feast, when he did get the rare chance to try other kinds of foods, he found that he liked most anything and mixing foods together (while it may disgust others), was positively amazing. He also doesn’t care if he offends anyone, for the most part. It’s not to say he goes out of his way to be rude, or cruel, but he doesn’t truly care about anyone unless he feels they deserve it, or if they won’t betray him. Trust is a big thing that he relies on, seeing as his past was more or less filled with betrayals.

Nise is also very, very smart. In his spare time in the lab, he took to reading notes and books that Vexen had laying around- the Nobody never really thought Nise would take an interest in them or be able to read them-, and thus started his interest in reading. He has a thirst for knowledge, mostly masked pretty well, but if there’s a book around and he has spare time, he’s fairly likely to read it. Nise is also fairly argumentative, depending on the person. He’s stubborn, and until he’s proven wrong, the other person is the one that’s not correct-- not him. While he’ll listen to reason, he’s far less likely to obey anyone, so if their responses or their words come across as an order, or they seem like they’re haughty, he’s less likely to listen.
