I cannot keep them close or I will be putting them in even greater danger.

After all, if all goes according to plan, I might very well be in direct line of fire. I would see myself no place else, as long as it is a deterrent to his interest in them.

As careful as I can be, Zelda-san. I would hate very much to be so careful I defeated the purpose of all of this. Besides, it doesn't matter what happens to me.

Itachi, if you try and alienate them, they will only fight to be closer with you. You know this. Aaron may seem to some as timid and cowardly, but he is fierce, and loyal.

You may have put yourself in the centre of it. You may have put them in the centre of it. Pushing them away will not serve you. It will only make things fester further.

Alone against the Crimson King, Itachi, we are naught. But we were brought here for a reason. We were brought here to fight, Itachi, and we need to do it together.

Zelda-san, I admire you a great deal, but we are very different, you and I.

No matter what or whom I come to love, only one really matters, and I would sacrifice everything for that one person. I would even sacrifice you... even myself.

I don't want to. But I would, if it came to that. This is why I must stand on my own. Because our goals are not the same...
