[Soft, hurried footsteps can be heard, like those falling gracefully upon the snow, but in quick and rapid succession. Itachi's breathing is controlled, but there is a noticeable strain at the edges of his tone when he speaks, as though for once he has seen far too much carnage...]

I do not understand how the property was breached so easily.
[He sounds disgusted now, impatient with something. His pace quickens, footsteps falling more quickly, and now and then patches of snow giving way to dirt beneath his feet, resulting in slapping thumps.]
There were tracks in the snow. They lead back into town...
I will follow them - I'll try to find where they lead. Whoever did this... stole his heart.
[Now breathing more quietly, coming to rest at the edge of town, where the buildings meet the forest, Itachi stops running and pauses a moment. When he speaks again his voice is a mere whisper, hardened... and cool.]
Miss Zelda... go to Sasuke and Aaron. Do not go alone, either... but make haste.
Aaron needs you right now.
If you will, tell Sasuke for me... I'll be back come morning.
[He begins walking again, and then running, and the communication cuts out.]
