Dear people,
I am in the midst of a packing, purging, cleaning extravaganza with side portions of coffee, fun times, and the last days of work. Not only am I moving into an apartment in Seattle (!!!!), but I am taking my all of my bedroom furniture from home. So the eternal question is what am I to do with the stuff that is not coming with me? Set it on the floor? Where am I going to sleep when I come home for holiday (That's certainly a good question..)? It is all very nutty. I made some cute seat cushion covers for the dining set, have yet to finish my quilt, and can't seem to figure out dying clothing. I alternate between listening to the Isobel Campbell/Mark Lanegan record and The Elected. My laptop is being terrible again so I am using "the fortress"-my desktop computer. Other projects! I need to refinish the coffee table for the living room. I'll wait until my dad gets back before I do, just so I don't use something wrong, etc. My mother found these hideous blue floral curtains at the store warehouse, and told me they had birds on them. Fantastic-for bird themed bathroom shower curtains. Tragically enough they do not have birds on them after all and now I just have ugly curtains at my disposal. Maybe one will still become a shower curtain and the other will become a really silly couture esque skirt or dress, or maybe even a table cloth. Am I channeling the Sound of Music again? The best part about packing is that I have found a few things that I have missed, earrings, pins, memory cards, and other such things. Today I scrubbed my shower (so needed-teenage brother is gross), went through the things on my desk and removed the collage I taped on there 5 years ago (dated gucci and roxy ads-juxtaposition!), work, and made a doctor's appointment. Tomorrow will be packing up clothes to get rid of, dying clothes, doctor, work, dry cleaner, buy makeup, work, and start to pack up odds and ends. Insert coffee and movies with cute boy where necessary. Oh the thrill...hahahaha.
That was fun.
