(no subject)
So life at my friend's house has been pretty decent. As often as I've been coming home to gifts from the work of my buddy and her man, I never expect that it'll just keep coming... but it does. Tonight I got a really nice catalog from the art gallery of the man. Dinner with a bunch of ladies was nice. Yummy Mexican food at Benny's. There were three celebrities at work today, which I feel way dorky reporting about... but here's the rundown... Michelle Williams, Kirstin Dunst and her man Jake. I've had literally four people recently tell me that I remind them of his sister Maggie. I take it as a compliment. Then roof party tonight over at a coworkers where, after a HUGE margarita I drank a 40 and another beer, plus nursed my new smoking habit. Then the cops came. Blah. It reminded me of college, which was a nice feeling in a way. It was the same everyone-being-nice-to-everyone kind of thing that you only get when you're all really itching to be drunk and to have a good time. Now here I am up way tooooooo late. I have work tomorrow at noon and I'm drunk and pigging out on my friend's food and it's 4 am.
At work today, I tried on a bunch of new pieces I wanted, and three of them worked out beautifully. I'm really attached to those pieces, and they total like $600 which is bad news. I have to prioritize and all of that. They are truly wonderful pieces though that I will always be happy to have, like a DVF wrap dress actually from way back when they were first conceived, and it's a wonderful print and I love it. I have to make some big decisions soon. About clothing.
I'm looking into getting a studio in Brooklyn Heights for $900/mo with no kitchen. I think it could be really great, since I have a hotplate and all. I hope it works. It probably won't. Damn.
