Incommunicado

I've been useless at posting here lately, eh? There's just tons going on. Enough that I'm debating NOT going to Ohio next weekend =/ (I'm not so thrilled about that part.) I've got a designation exam coming up early next month, and I've gone through A CHAPTER so far. I need to get moving on that. Plus, my parents are coming out in two weeks, ( Read more... )

So bring some of your study stuff with you? There's nothing saying you can't work in a little study time in between TW Wallowing. No one would be offended. And then you could still be silly the rest of the time!

Well, it's good that you have proper priorities, unlike the rest of us :)

But, seriously, it's totally OK if you want to bring some study stuff with you. The weather has gotten nice again. The breezeway is clean, as is the patio, and the wireless even reaches to both. You could go out to either, sit in the sun, fresh air and quiet while we make noise and act stupid. Plus, since you're a beta person on the VS, you could be doing that while we write or something. Dunno about you, but it might be good to have something non TW to focus on for a bit. It could actually get old :)

Still, it's your call.

What helps me with stuff like this is setting up a schedule. Both for the studying and the cleaning. I try to stay on top of the house, but when my in-laws come? OMG, my mother in law is the cleanest person ever, so, yeah, it's like Spring Cleaning no matter what season she visits. So I plan that shit way ahead of time and just promise myself to do a bit of it every night instead of killing myself worrying and stressing.

Funny you mention scheduling, as that's actually what I did. I scheduled it out, and I've got to do 4 chapters of dense insurance material this weekend. When you knock out 11 hours spent driving in total, it means I have to spent the majority of what's left studying. Which is a problem =/

Ugh, I may change my mind at the last minute, but as of right now, I'm leaning about 90% towards not going. My employer is paying $300 for me to take this test and I'm already taking it the latest possible day in the testing period.

DON'T HATE ME :( I feel really bad now.

We'll scowl at you remotely and send you taunting drunk Tweets or something.

But you know, you're doing what's important, and that does make more sense. Being a grownup sucks, but it's what pays the bills.

We'll do another wallow together, somewhere else, somewhen else. It's OK.

I once sat for a certification (my PMP), and it took me 23 hours just to assemble and submit the APPLICATION for the danged thing. You have my empathy.

I will probably feel very sad when you drunkenly tweet :( Ugh. I just screwed myself over, and I'm too responsible when it comes to my job to let it slide anymore.

You guys can just webcam me in.
